Janet De-Havilland

MD & CEO,  ACIPP MIoD

Janet has worked in Recruitment, HR Consultancy, and more latterly the contractor Umbrella market for over 25 years. She has a proven track record of repeated success transforming, delivering and interpreting vision into highly successful and profitable businesses. She is an innovative and engaging leader, who leads by example and from the front. Janet gained her expertise, working for leading brands such as G4S, Manpower Group, Impellam Group, Lee Hecht Harrison, and Adecco Group. 

Janet has been involved in start-ups, business turn-around transformation, and as an Angel investor providing funding and mentoring to fledgling recruiters looking for their first chance at business ownership.

A graduate in Business Studies and of the Dale Carnegie School of Public Speaking, Janet is an accomplished speaker/presenter and relishes the opportunity to use her polished presentation and oratory skills.

A subject matter expert in contingent recruitment and off-payroll legislation, Janet advises clients across multiple sectors on Employment Status, NMW, CIS and IR35 regulation. She is well-connected in the business arena and a passionate advocate for compliance and best practice within the contractor Umbrella Employment sector. A testament to this is Pendragons’ success in being awarded FCSA accreditation so early in the company’s journey.

Having played sport at the highest levels, Janet still follows most forms of sport, however more as a spectator these days. She also takes a keen interest in politics and current affairs.

Debbie Sansum

Group operations manager

Debbie has over 20 years’ experience in client focussed roles. Starting off in administration, Debbie catapulted into more senior roles when her skills and strengths were recognised, and she started to head up teams. Responsible for their performance and client feedback Debbie has always focussed on the client side realising early on that if the customer and employees are happy this brings business success.

Debbie’s experience ranges from the glamorous side of travel and interior design but her favourite industry is the people industry, which makes her perfect for Pendragon.

The last 11 years of Debbie’s career has been in the umbrella and contractor market. There is very little Debbie does not understand about this industry. This was recently demonstrated when she joined Pendragon and created the processes and systems to underpin the business within a few weeks.  Her combination of understanding the client and the soft side of customer care to her expert technical skills has led to Pendragon being able to gain accreditation from FCSA within months of launching.

Debbie believes in people development and prioritises succession planning and training within all of her teams. This ensures she has the right people around her. Debbie is consistent in her people management and supports the People strategy leading by example.

Debbie is a busy mother of a football-loving son. When not on the side pitch she loves to travel when she can.
